Click to open the printer drawer where you can choose between the currently installed printers.
By clicking the properties drawer you open the printer's proprietary dialog box giving you access to more options. These options are specific to your printing device and thus aren't incorporated in the previous dialog box.
Quality stands for the dpi resolution.
Enter the number of copies you wish by typing it in the Copies edit box.
Open the Paper drawer and select the option among the scrolling list that corresponds to the size of the paper loaded into your printer's paper tray.
This command is very useful to prevent an image from flowing out of the page. Check the Shrink to fit edit box and the current image will automatically be resized to fit in the page format you define in the Paper drawer.
This enables you to select between different paper souces for the selected printer (in case you have more than one!). Most often this will only display the default paper tray.
This command enables you to specify whether an image prints upright on a page (called the portrait setting) or on its side (called the landscape setting). Landscape is useful when an image is wider than tall.
When you print to a file, you must first select the printer that will ultimately print the file. And than enter a name and path for the resulting file. This command is useful when you want to generate a file to be printed later or to be transmitted through a network to a distant printing device. |
